World No Tobacco Day

The World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) is observed by the World Health Organization (WHO) annually on 31st May. The goal is to put prevention of tobacco use high up on the public agenda. The purpose of this campaign is to prioritize the discontinuation and prevention of tobacco usage, to generate awareness on the health risks associated with tobacco use, to bring to light the mechanism of the tobacco industry, and most significantly, to remind people worldwide that cutting tobacco use could enable every individual to lead long, healthy lives.
