To practice healthy wealthy lifestyle, the state of mind may need to be re-programmed to enjoy what you do daily and doing what you enjoy! And to practice this may require small changes in your daily routine to help you learn how to enjoy life more.

Several published reports on longevity have consistently shown that people who follow healthy lifestyle enjoyed impressively longer, healthier & more productive lives in comparison to those who ignored it. Studies show that people with adverse habits are far more likely to die prematurely from preventable lifestyle diseases like heart disease, organ failures or cancers.

To understand the above we need to appreciate the five basic elements of our daily living which includes food, physical activity, sleep, our relationships & mindfulness. These basic life needs influence our health and each element requires our attention. And in the end what matters is good way of living and healthy state of mind to everyone be it at work, at home or even in the community.

"People should bring their whole selves to work." A commonly used phrase but what does this mean? Whole self-comprises of deliberate self-care of mind, heart, body and soul and discovering healing links between one's world, life, health and enjoying such an experience. Small changes in one area can influence another area and this can be challenging as well as an opportunity. It brings out the real you and results in better engagement and happiness at work, without the need to hide your identity and this results in more energy for work. The 'Illness-Wellness' Continuum is a graphical illustration of a wellbeing concept first proposed by a physician called Travis in 1972. It proposes that wellbeing includes mental and emotional health, as well as the presence or absence of illness.

The Illness-Wellness Continuum proposes that individuals can move farther to the right, towards greater health and wellbeing, passing through the stages of awareness, education, and growth or move to the left that are reflected as worsening states of health through new signs, symptoms and disability.

The Illness-Wellness Continuum has been viewed as promoting preventive treatment, which improves wellbeing before an individual presents with signs or symptoms of illness, as well as educating people to be aware of and avoid risk factors, in order to protect against pathology and premature death.

Health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is the state of perceived physical and mental health over time of an individual's or of a group. HRQoL is a multi-dimensional concept that includes domains related to physical, mental, emotional, and social functioning. A related concept of HRQoL is well-being, which assesses the positive aspects of a person's life, such as positive emotions and life satisfaction.

Identifies eight of psychosocial development from infancy to adulthood that shapes our personality and how we behave and react. During each stage there is either a characteristic human virtue or a related conflict that could have a positive or negative influence on the personality.
