Sertraline Ineffective to Treat Depression for Chronic Diseases

Patients dealing with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and depressive disorders did not benefit from a common antidepressant called sertraline. This is the finding of a clinical trial whose finding supports other research that indicates traditional antidepressants are also ineffective in depressed people with chronic conditions such as asthma and congestive heart failure.
