More than half the parents follow "folklore" based cold preventing strategies to protect their kids such as giving vitamin supplements or asking them not to go outside, which are unsupported by scientific evidence. Parents must understand which cold prevention strategies are based on scientific facts and those which are not. While some measures are effective in protecting their children, others may not actually make any difference.
