Keratoconus is a bilateral condition affecting both the eyes. Usually one eye is more severely affected than the other. Both males and females are equally affected.
Uncontrolled muscle twitching occurs in this condition, though benign it may need further investigation and sometimes an injection of Botox can cures it.
Diplopia or double vision is a type of visual impairment in which two images of the same object are formed. Diplopia results in blurry vision and double vision, interfering with daily activities.
Excess tearing may cause a sensation of watery eyes or result in tears falling down the cheek. Obstruction of tear drainage path can lead to stasis and is also a reason for watery eyes.
A comprehensive eye exam can take an hour or more, depending on the doctor and the number and complexity of tests required to fully evaluate vision and the health of the patientís eyes.
