Storyline : It is a love story set in the 1920s. Walter and Kitty marry for wrong reasons and find no love in their marriage. They shift to Shanghai, where she falls in love with someone else. In revenge Walter accepts a job in a remote village in China affected by the deadly epidemic Cholera and forces his wife to accompany him. There they find a new meaning to their marriage.
