What is Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome ?  

Wolff-Parkinson White syndrome is characterized by the presence of an abnormal accessory electrical conduction pathway, called the bundle of Kent, between the atria and ventricles. The electrical signals travelling down this pathway can stimulate the ventricles and make it contract prematurely. This results in a unique type of supraventricular tachycardia called atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia.

Symptoms :  
  • Chest pain or chest tightness
  • Dizziness
  • Fainting
  • Palpitations
  • Shortness of breath
