What is Afferent Loop Syndrome ?

Gastrojejunal loop obstruction, proximal to a gastrojejunostomy.

Cause(s) : Usually a complication of gastric surgery

Symptoms :

Ingestion of food
Nausea
Pain
Duodenal distension.

Diagnosis and Tests :

Blood Test
X - Ray
Computed Tomography (CT)
Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (UGI) Endoscopy
