Rabies Post-Exposure Immunization Schedule (Unvaccinated persons).

Immunizing product Regimen.

HRIG 20IU/kg, if feasible infiltrate 1/2 dose around wound(s), the rest IM in gluteal area. Not in same syringe as vaccine.

Vaccine: HDCV or RVA 1.0ml IM in deltoid area (only acceptable site in adults and older children; younger children outer aspect of thigh - never in gluteal area). Days 0, 3, 7, 14, 28.

HRIG =Human Rabies Immuno Globulin HDCV = Human Diploid Cell Vaccine RVA = Rabies Vaccine.

Hepatitis B Post-Exposure Prophylaxis for adults
(percutaneous, permucosal, sexual).
