- Preparation:
Ingredients:
- Chicory leaves – 2 bunches
- Mung dhal – 1
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 2 tsp
- Rock salt – according to taste
Method:
Leaves are separated, washed and chopped. Mung dhal is cooked well by boiling it in water. Add the chopped leaves to the cooked mung dal along with a little rock salt. Cook till the leaves become tender. Season with asafoetida, mustard and cumin seeds using ghee.
The chicory leaves can be added to soups and salads. It can also be mixed and cooked with other leaves.

Dear sir, I read the health benefits of mint leaves. Many are not aware of this. It is amazing that it can cure digestive disorders, liver disorders, vomiting etc. I thank you sir for the information. This must be made known to the public in popular news papers or TV. I have a personal problem. I have stomach irritation, belching and regurgitation after every meal. English medicines are not very effective. Some kind of home remedy, I shall greatly appreciate.
