Biopsy: A procedure where a sample of tissue is removed for the purpose of diagnosis.Cancer: An abnormal growth of cells that spreads to other parts of the body and can result in death if not treated.
Chemotherapy: Drugs given to destroy cancer cells or invading organisms.
Gastroenterologist: A doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system (which includes the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, intestines, and liver).
Immunity: The ability of the body to fight disease.
Prognosis: The probable outcome of a disease.
Radiotherapy: Radiation used to destroy cancer cells.
Swab: A piece of cotton or gauze attached to a stick used for applying or removing a substance from the surface.
