Glossary

Biopsy: A procedure where a sample of tissue is removed for the purpose of diagnosis.

Prognosis: The probable outcome of a disease.

Radiotherapy: Radiation used to destroy cancer cells.

Swab: A piece of cotton or gauze attached to a stick used for applying or removing a substance from the surface.
