Glossary

Abortion: expulsion or extraction of the fetus from the womb before it is viable.

Gestation: It is the period of development of the fetus from conception until birth.

Fetus: It is an unborn offspring, after the embryo stage until birth.

Abortion pill: It contains two pills namely, Mifepristone and Misoprostol, used for abortion in early pregnancy up to nine weeks.

Uterus: Also known as womb. It is a female reproductive organ that carries the fetus during pregnancy.
