Woman Takes Control of Cancer as Well as Her Weight
Emma Parker was used to being overweight since her childhood. During her 20th year she already weighed a massive 18 st which made it hard to even climb the staircase.
She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August 2010. As she was battling cancer, she decided to do something to drop all the excess weight. Barely seven months after enrolling with a weight loss center, she has dropped seven dress sizes.

She said: "Having Hodgkin's lymphoma made me realize how important life is and not to take things like your health for granted. I wanted to be as healthy as I could so that if anything ever happened again I would be fitter and stronger, and I wanted to change everything that made me unhappy, which my weight definitely did."

Within seven months she had dropped from a size 22 to a size ten. She also won the Slimming World's Miss Slinky 2012, which won her a reward of £2,000.
