Shortage of Cancer Drugs in UK Leaves Patients Without Medications
Several people in Wales are not getting access to 22 life-extending cancer drugs, according to the Rarer Cancers Foundation, a charity backed by pharmaceutical companies.
About 30 patients have been refused the medicines, while 91 patients were forced to apply for money for their treatment citing ‘exceptional case procedures’ as the cancer drugs were not available.

However, in England doctors can apply for funding through a new Cancer Drugs Fund.
