Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee was admitted to a city nursing home in the wee hours Thursday after she complained of chest pain and breathlessness.
The doctors attending her said the condition of the Trinamool Congress MP, who was allegedly manhandled at Singur in Hooghly district during her sit-in recently to resist the transfer of fertile farmlands to Tata Motors for a car factory, was stable.She was admitted to the Belle Vue Nursing Home in central Kolkata.
A medical bulletin would be issued later in the day.
Mamata complained of the problems late Wednesday night after attending a rally against the Singur land grab with Congress leaders during the day where she looked visibly indisposed.
