Christina Applegate Admits She 'lost It' Before Her Breasts Were Removed

Christina Applegate has bared all details of the emotional turmoil before her double mastectomy. She admitted to crying a lot when she realized that she was going to lose her breasts.

The Emmy Award-winning actress, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, had thought that she had toughened against the devastating news when she gave the go-ahead to her doctor.

However, the 'Anchorman' star revealed on Oprah Winfrey's U.S. talk show, that when the doctor brought in the surgeon to carry out the double mastectomy, she broke down.

"I was just gonna let them (breasts) go... and then, when I met with my doctor and I told him that was my decision and he brought the surgeon in, it was like the floodgates just opened up and I lost it," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

The actress further revealed that somehow she always suspected to be diagnosed with cancer since her mother is a two-time breast cancer survivor.

"There was this part of me that sort of knew that the other shoe was gonna drop," she added.
