Glossary

Autoimmune disease: Condition in which one’s own immune system attacks healthy cells by mistake and destroys them.

Erectile dysfunction: Inability to achieve erection or to maintain erection, so as to have sex.

Urinary Incontinence: Involuntary leakage of urine.

Nerve conduction study: Test used to check the functioning of the nerves that control movement and sensation in the body.

Ultrasound: Imaging test to view internal organs. It uses high frequency sound waves.

Gastric emptying: Passage of food from the stomach into the intestines.
