Rasala (Lassi) 

Preparations

Recipe – 1

Ingredients

  1. Yogurt – 1 cup
  2. Water - ½ cup
  3. Dry ginger powder – 2 pinch
  4. Cumin powder – 1 pinch
  5. Coriander powder – 1 pinch
  6. Rock salt - to taste

Method

Blend the ingredients in a mixer. Serve it in room temperature after lunch.

Recipe 2

Ingredients

  1. Fresh yogurt – 1 cup
  2. Water - ½ cup
  3. Honey – 2 spoons
  4. Cardamom – 2
  5. Rose water – 1 teaspoon

Method

Blend the ingredients in a mixer. Serve it at room temperature.

Properties

  1. It is heavy
  2. It becomes light to digest when more water is added
  3. It is nourishing
  4. It balances 'vata' & 'pitta'
  5. It is aphrodisiac
  6. It enhances digestion
  7. It relieves bloating
  8. It cures sprue

Yogurt can block body channels but when, churned with water and spices, it is broken down, its quality changes. Lassi actually clears the channels and aids indigestion.
