Why is Desonide Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a topical corticosteroid, prescribed for atopic dermatitis (eczema), seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis and contact dermatitis in both adults and children.  It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.

When should Desonide not be taken? (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Desonide?

It should be applied on the affected areas as a thin layer two or three times daily depending on the severity of the condition.

It comes as a lotion, gel, cream and ointment to apply topically.
