A new study published in the journal Emotion suggests that different temper tantrum sounds of children can be attributed to different emotions

Lead researcher James Green said that it is difficult for parents to differentiate the emotions of their children as both the patterns are intertwined. Instead Green suggests that parents should ignore the children as it is the best way of quickly get them past the tantrums.
“If parents can avoid getting caught up in the anger, better things are likely to happen. Of course, if you are in a theater, you may simply have to ‘take control’ in the sense of physically removing the child”, he said.
