Supermarkets Do Their Bit to Control Obesity
A number of major supermarkets have committed to positioning fruit and vegetables in such a way that buyers can see it and could be tempted to buy it. This is a step taken by many of Scotland’s well known brands like Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons to improve fruit and vegetable intake in consumers amid the background of the importance of consuming five portions of nutritious foods daily.
This is especially important as nearly two-thirds of men and more than 50% of women are overweight or obese.
