A simple eye test which involves taking photographs of the retina could help in detection of Alzheimer’s disease.

The researchers conducted the eye test on 136 individuals, 13 of whom were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s while another 13 suffered from a mild form of the disease.
The researchers found that the width of certain blood vessels was different among those who had the disease and the difference was the same as the amount of plaque that the researchers found in the brain scans.
