Prince William: UK's Favourite Royal

Prince William has topped the royal personality poll, as support for monarchy hits a 20-year high.

In the poll, the Queen came at second place with Princess Harry at third, Kate at fourth and Prince Charles coming in as fifth favourite, the Mirror reported.

The research conducted by Ipsos MORI showed that nine in 10 people are satisfied with how the Queen is doing her job and 79 percent are pro-monarchy.

But individual popularity ratings suggest that people would prefer William and Kate both, 30, as their next king and queen, the paper said.

The survey of 1,014 adults showed public -confidence in the monarchy's future is at a 20-year high.
