Congress Leader PC Chacko Criticizes Government on Its Swine Flu Response

Senior Congress leader P.C. Chacko has criticized the BJP government for remaining a mute witness to the swine flu epidemic. He said, "1,500 people have died, 30,000 people are affected, more and more people are detected and the government is remaining a mute witness. They are not taking action, so we want to create awareness amongst people."

The Congress party has organized a 3-day awareness campaign for swine flu in Delhi, calling upon their MLA candidates, corporation candidates and former district presidents for support. The swine flu epidemic has claimed 1,500 lives till now while more than 27,000 people have been left affected by the H1N1 virus.
