Caine and Lennon Had Drinking Binge

Late Beatles legend John Lennon and Sir Michael Caine supposedly got drunk together and misbehaved the first time they met.

The two met at the Cannes film festival in 1964 and soon became friends and drinking buddies.

'We were getting through this day of press conferences, me for the 'Ipcress File' while I think he was probably doing 'A Hard Day's Night',' Caine was quoted as saying by contactmusic.com.

'We introduced ourselves to people as John Lemon and Michael Micklewhite, which is my real name. We got very pissed and behaved very, very badly.'
