AliveCor IPhone ECG Heart Monitor Just a Prescription Away
AliveCor iPhone ECG heart monitor compatible with 4 and 4S iPhones will now be available with a prescription. It is priced at $199.

The beauty of this monitor is that it is possible to get immediate ECG readouts by placing our hands on the electrodes. The report can be sent to a physician, or stored for further reference. A print out can also be taken.

The AliveCor Heart Monitor is fit on the back of an iPhone. It can display, record, store as well as transfer the electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythms wirelessly with the related AliveECG app. The ECG data can be retrieved at any time and is not dependant on the connection between iPhone and Heart Monitor.

"The ability for doctors to prescribe this device to patients is a real breakthrough to help patients participate in their health and work with their physicians to truly collaborate on their care," said Dr. Dave Albert, CMO and co-founder of AliveCor.
