Adrenal gland: Endocrine glands located on top of each kidney.

Diabetes ketoacidosis: A serious complication of diabetes mellitus where the patient has excess ketones in the blood.

Glomerulonephritis: An acute inflammation of the kidney.

Pyelonephritis: Infection of the kidneys.
