Exploring the outer space is one of the most exciting advancements of the last century. This new frontier has many challenges as health is concerned. Microgravity environment can play havoc on our body's physiology and mental health. It can lead to bone and muscle loss, reduced cardiac function and even blindness. The radiation exposure in space can be a cause of concern and can increase risks of cancers. In weightlessness environment our wounds tend to heal slowly and our immune system is slow to react. These articles and postings will give you updates on how we progress to overcome these challenges and how some of the new experiments in space will help us down here on earth to look after our health better.
