Side effect(s) of Deferasirox

Read the side effects of Deferasirox as described in the medical literature. In case of any doubt consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Most Common - Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and skin rash.

Genitourinary - Presence of protein in urine.

Miscellaneous- Fluid retention, dizziness, anxiety, fever, fatigue, throat pain, hearing loss, and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Less Common- Liver failure.

Other Precautions : * Avoid excess dosage.

Deferasirox(Exjade) generic is an iron-chelating agent, prescribed for transfusional hemosiderosis (excess iron due to blood transfusions). It works by attaching to iron in the body so that it can be excreted in feces.
