How to Take Heparin and it's Dose

It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: IV- Loading dose: 5,000 u, then 1,000-2,000 u/hr.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled active bleeding, unexplained bruising, or low blood platelets, uncontrolled high blood pressure, and hypersensitivity.

Drug Name : Heparin

This medication is an anticoagulant, prescribed for deep venous thrombosis, arterial embolism and pulmonary embolism.
