IM- The recommended dose is 250 to 500 mg weekly by intramuscular injection during the first half of pregnancy.

Diarrhea, headache, skin rash, hives and pain at the injection site.

It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the large muscle.

Contraindicated in patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, breast cancer, pregnancy, lactation, severe liver disease, bleeding disorder and hypersensitivity.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of abdominal bleeding, tumors, abortion, sugar, mental depression, any allergy, who are taking other medications.

Monitor blood sugar level in diabetic patients.

If bleeding disorder occurs, stop this medication.

Avoid excess dosage.
