This medication is an anti-infective agent, prescribed for seborrheic dermatitis of scalp and treatment of dandruff. It is also used to treat tinea versicolor, a fungal infection of the skin. It prevents fungus from growing on the skin.
Topical- Apply over the affected areas and lather with a small amount of water. Allow product to remain on skin for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat procedure once a day for 7 days.
It comes as a lotion to apply topically as directed by your physician.
• Caution needed for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
• Remove all jewelry; selenium sulfide may damage it.
• Do not use this medication if your scalp is cut or scratched.
• Stop using the lotion and contact your doctor if your condition worsens.
Scalp irritation, oiliness or dryness of hair and scalp, hair loss and hair discoloration.
Rinse your hair thoroughly after treatment.
Store it at room temperature (30°C).
