UK's tallest 5-year old boy Jack who measures 4ft 2in is one of the only 64 people in the UK to be diagnosed with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome characterized by a rare, incurable overgrowth disorder. He also has an enlarged tongue which creates breathing and eating difficulties.
By the time Jack is an adult he could be 7ft 5in. No other family members suffer from this disorder. Though the cause is unknown, it might be genetic. Jack weight 7lbs 3oz at birth even though he was born 6-weeks premature.
The first year of his life was spent in the ICU for most of the time. Jack has already undergone 15 operations- 3 on the tongue, tracheotomy and stomach operations to enable him to eat and breathe properly. He is believed to have the most extreme symptoms of anyone with the same condition across the world.
