  • You can go in for simple exercises at home that do not require any special exercising equipment, such as brisk walking, running and jogging.
  • Try and include a variety of exercises such as dancing, aerobics and yoga so that you do not get bored with your daily exercise routine.
  • Keep a pair of dumbbells at home so that you can perform muscle-strengthening exercises at home.
  • You should always wear a comfortable outfit including loose clothes and properly fitted footwear.
  • Listen to few of your favorite songs and music every time you exercise.
  • Never over-exercise. Maintain a daily routine of 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Drink water instead of drinking diet soft drinks or cold drinks. This will help you avoid consuming excessive calories.
  • Always begin your workout with warm up exercises.
  • If you are working out at gym, make sure that you do the same under appropriate guidance.
  • Concentrate on rhythmic breathing while exercising.
  • Perform aerobic exercises when you get bored with your monotonous exercise routine.
  • Exercise with a friend or a family member to alleviate boredom.

  • You need to burn more calories than you eat. So exercise on a daily basis.
  • Follow a healthy diet plan, instead of going in for a crash diet.
  • Increase consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Be aware about your body mass index and resting metabolic rate.
  • Stay away from junk food and greasy foods.
  • Sleep for six to eight hours every day to give your body rest.
  • Have small and frequent meals throughout the day.
  • Follow the golden rule, “Have breakfast like a king, lunch like a common man and dinner like a beggar”.
  • Increase fiber intake in your diet.
  • Drinking 5-6 liters of water daily is must for weight loss.
