Hormone: Chemical secreted by endocrine gland which has specific effects on its target tissues

Pituitary gland: Endocrine gland situated in the brain; it has an anterior and a posterior lobe each of which secretes different hormones 

Growth Hormone: Hormone secreted by the anterior lobe of the pituitary
