Benefits of Aspirin in Cancer Prevention

In a new study, researchers found that the drug Aspirin helps in preventing cancer and may also increase the survival rates of people suffering this disease. The research findings were made available at the gathering of the American Association for Cancer Research.

The study found that the well known painkiller, Aspirin, could reduce the chances of suffering cancer in those who are regular users of these drugs by 16%. It was found to be beneficial even for those who were suffering the disease, improving their chances of survival by 13%. The study was exhaustive involving more than 22000 women.

Despite the benefits of this drug on cancer, yet, it is no blanket prescription to use the drug without medical advice.
