Outpatient List Falls From 41,000 To 6,000

In Northern Ireland, hospital waiting list, have fallen by 6,000 in the last year. Previous results show that about 14,000 to 18,000 were in the waiting appointment last year. But this year it reveals a steep fall and by next year no one waits more than six months – says Health Minister Paul Goggins.

He adds people waiting years for hospital appointments becomes a tragedy and he assures that necessary steps will be taken to secure improvements for patients as well as performance of the departments in Northern Ireland hospital.
