US Politico Now Sperm Donor in New Zealand
Conservative American politician, Bill Johnson, who had opposed gay marriage has donated sperm to several lesbian women from New Zealand, without the knowledge of his wife or fertility medicine practitioners.

While helping run the earthquake recovery in Christchurch, he enlisted himself in the online sperm donor registries in New Zealand. Using the online persona 'chchbill', he met women who wanted to get pregnant. He has discussed making donations to at least 9-women, 3 of whom are reportedly pregnant now and Johnson has assisted another 3 with donations in the past month.

Guidelines issued by the fertility medicine community recommend that donations should be made in the regulated environment of a fertility clinic. Also to prevent accidental incest and lessen the stress donors and children face if they meet, fertility medicine practitioners are against the idea of donors making sperm available to more than four families.

Mr. Johnson was not planning to tell his wife in US about his sperm donations until the children were born.

He has also expressed the desire to be involved with the children's lives.
