 Texas Girl With Rare Brain Disease Has Surgery

A Texas girl called Jessie Hall, who is suffering from a rare brain disorder called Rasmussen's Encephalitis, has had half her brain removed in a surgery at the Cook's Children's Medical Center.

She will continue her recovery at home. Neurosurgeons had removed the right half of Hall's brain because it was being eaten away and could have paralyzed her body.

She had to learn to control her body with the opposite side of the brain, which had to learn to function like the other half.
