Memories of many of the celebrities who have left us forever are so fresh that they are not only missed but given a chance people would want them to come back to life.

A poll conducted by Vanity Fair revealed people's secret wish for the people they admired the most.

Princess Diana was found to be most popular in the Vanity Fair poll as people simply loved her. During the poll, Princess Diana was mentioned the most. She beat many other celebrities, even the most endearing ones like Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Statistics of the poll showed that she got 35 percent of the votes, double that of Steve Jobs and triple the votes of Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Some impressions last forever and it appears that Princess Diana has a permanent place in many hearts.
