 Green Hospital Building Inaugurated in Ahmedabad
The first “green” building in Gujarat was unveiled on Thursday as part of the Care Institute of Medical Sciences(CIMS) Hospital, in Ahmedabad.
The multi-super speciality hospital contains more than 150 beds with plans afoot to extend the capacity by a further 300 beds. The project cost more than Rs 150 crore to be built and would require a similar amount for any expansion.

Nearly half of the open space in the hospital has been filled with courtyards and gardens while the building also consists of sewage plants to recycle water and rain-water harvesting pits.

The Managing Director of CIMS, Milan Chag revealed that the medical costs in the hospital is 10 percent cheaper compared to other hospitals while the service provided ranks amongst the best in the country.
