Ambulance Staff More Unhappy Than Other NHS Employees

A new survey has found that ambulance crews on the NHS are more unhappy than their other counterparts. The survey of 56,000 NHS staff found that ambulance crews were regularly bullied, harassed or discriminated against.

“Staff feel undervalued, morale is low. It is down to a lack of communication between staff and management. We hear it regularly, but it was surprising to see how widespread it was," an Ambulance Service Union spokesman told The Sun.

Just a third of the staff feel they are treated with dignity and just 56% said they could get all the information needed to get the job done. Last year a probe into bullying caused chief Kevin Doran and director Grace Kennedy to step down from their posts.

The survey also found that just 60 per cent of the staff felt they were treated well.
