The health promotion and health communication unit of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is to conduct a pre-marriage course from July 29 and July 30.
The course aims to teach young people how to have happy marriages because marital discord is on the rise in that age group. “This is the motivation for the course. This course aims at helping the youth in preparing physically, socially and emotionally for a married life in a better way,” said Bir Singh, professor of community medicine and convener of the course.The course will also educate would-be couples about sexually transmitted diseases as well as to make adjustments in married life. The course will initially have 30 participants.
