- Postoperative Fever
- The most common complication of appendectomy is infection of the surgical wound.
- Intra-abdominal abscess (fluid), needing drainage.
- Paralytic ileus where the gut stops functioning. This usually happens if the appendix ruptures and causes diffuse inflammation.
- Deep Vein Thrombosis is rare complication and required further tests.
