Key points

Non-retractile foreskin can be a normal developmental process in boys under 4 years of age.

Circumcision is indicated if there are recurrent infections, or if there is narrowing with scarring.
Circumcision is a safe operation that can be performed with out the need for over-night stay.
For a good cosmetic result, and minimal complications, it has to be performed by a well trained surgeon.

can phimosis recur years after circumcission?

I got circumcised in 1992, 24th DEC evening. It was done by two doctors in a clinic in about half hr time. I had long & very sensitive fore skin.
I recovered in One week from bandages. Feels good & clean always. th esenstivity is reduced, longer time to peak & girth increase by 10% maybe.
