Villi: Finger like protrusions on the lining of the small intestine which aid the absorption of nutrients into the blood stream.

Gluten: A protein found in wheat, barley and rye. Certain cosmetics, Vitamins and medicines also contain this protein.

Dermatitis Herpetiformis: Dermatitis Herpetiformis (DH) is a severe and burning skin rash which could occur on the elbows, knees, and buttocks.

Screening for celiac is routinely done among Americans. In a study by Joseph Murray it was suggested that the present generation has 4.5 times moré chances of having Celiac Disease.
