It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

PO- The starting dose should be 12.5 mg per day given once in the morning. The maximum recommended single dose is 25 mg. Maximum: 50mg.

Contraindicated in patients with suicidal thoughts, depression, severe liver impairment, who are taking reserpine, and hypersensitivity.

This medication is a monoamine depleter, prescribed for involuntary movements (chorea) in patients with Huntington's disease.
