• Flupirtine should be taken in three divided dose orally.

• Allergy to the drug
• Liver disease including hepatic encephalopathy, cholestasis, primary biliary cirrhosis
• Myasthenia gravis
• Chronic alcoholism
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Children below 6 years of age

Dosage & When it is to be taken
• The usual recommended dose in adults is 300 to 400 mg /day.When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)
