Dosage & When it is to be taken
Adult: IM- Heavy metal poisoning- Initial: 400-800 mg on the 1st day followed by 200-400 mg on the 2nd and 3rd days. Reduce to 100-200 mg subsequently. To be given in divided doses at 4-hourly intervals. Adjunct in lead poisoning Initial: 4 mg/kg followed by 3-4 mg/kg 4 hourly. Maintenance: 2-7 days.When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)
