Are you taking Efavirenz ? Are you aware of the dangers of combining Efavirenz with certain foods and herbs? Drug-food-interactions are seldom discussed but can lead to undesirable side effects and potentially diminish the efficacy of the medication.
Efavirenz is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI), and active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) prescribed for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1 either alone or with other medications.

Efavirenz comes as a tablet and capsule to take by mouth, on an empty stomach. It's essential to follow the directions on the prescription label and not take more than the recommended dosage. Familiarize yourself with how and when to take Efavirenz for maximum benefit.
We recommend consulting your doctor to verify the information presented on this page or if you need any further clarifications.
